Radio Listenership
Radio Listenership
This chart (from Pew Research) is boggling to me:
This is wild because it shows that although listenership has dropped a little in recent years, it’s still going stunningly strong, which suggests that terrestrial radio (the kind you listen to on AM or FM dials, not digitally delivered podcasts and such) is still fundamental to many peoples’ listening habits, even though we’ve got all these other streaming (and otherwise) options available.
Here’s that Pew piece: https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2023/02/13/for-world-radio-day-key-facts-about-radio-listeners-and-the-radio-industry-in-the-u-s/
